Bonbon Spirit (PJ Weinstein) is a veteran DJ and event producer dedicated to the service of conscious movement—a practice he credits with saving his life force. Drawing on over 20 years of personal practice in Ecstatic Dance, Soul Motion, and Contact Improvisation, he crafts sets that function as a true communion with the dancers. Since 2010, he has DJ’d 600+ events, blending cutting-edge bass music, organic beats, and novel remixes of beloved classics. A dedicated community builder, PJ is the founder of Ecstatic Dance Corvallis and the producer of over thirty immersion retreats at Breitenbush and Harbin Hot Springs.

Driven by a passion for conscious movement—a practice he credits with saving his life force—Bonbon Spirit (PJ Weinstein) brings a depth of experience to the decks rarely found in the scene. A dancer first and a DJ second, his sound is informed by over 20 years of personal practice in Ecstatic Dance, 5Rhythms, Soul Motion, and Contact Improvisation.
Since 2010, Bonbon Spirit has DJ’d over 600 events, earning a reputation for an eclectic, genre-fluid style that marries the electronic with the organic. He is known for weaving the latest cutting-edge Bass Music with angelic ambient layers and uptempo electro, always keeping a "remix of a beloved classic" in his back pocket to surprise the floor. He approaches every set as an improvisation, bringing a rough palette of ideas but ultimately creating the journey in real-time response to the field of dancers.
PJ is a pillar of the West Coast dance community. He settled in Corvallis in 2016 to build local infrastructure for dance, founding Ecstatic Dance Corvallis, Corvallis Fusion Dance, and Amoeba Dance. Beyond the Pacific Northwest, he has held residencies at Ecstatic Dance Oakland and Fairfax, and has produced over thirty Ecstatic Dance Immersion retreats at Breitenbush and Harbin Hot Springs.
His collaborative spirit has led to live performances with artists such as Donna DeLory, Little Star, Kyrstyn Pixton, eO, Gabriel Gold, and Kelly Atkins. Whether at a community retreat or an intimate local sweat, Bonbon Spirit plays in service of the movement.
